Common questions
I can’t see my shrimp.
Shrimp often hide after moulting, during periods of stress,
or when they are settling in. Check around plants, moss, leaves and shelter.
My shrimp aren’t breeding.
Give them time. Stable water parameters, good nutrition,
biofilm and a mature environment are more important than trying to force
breeding.
I can’t see any babies.
Shrimplets are extremely small and excellent at hiding. Look
closely around moss, leaves, shelter and other grazing surfaces.
There is uneaten food.
Reduce the amount you feed. Shrimp need less food than you
may expect.
My shrimp are moulting.
Moulting is a normal part of shrimp growth. Avoid disturbing
the shrimp or making sudden changes to the aquarium.
